  Igniting the Spark

The purpose of the South Carolina Salute to Manufacturing lies in recognizing the vast tapestry that creates a thriving economy and in turn, prepares a community that can both survive and thrive in the global changes that we face. We believe that our competitive edge depends upon connecting our students with the message that creativity and innovation are the keys to solving problems, keeping pace with an ever-evolving global economic community and fast-paced technological change. We pay tribute to those companies that find value in achieving success in the marketplace, in their community and in the hands and hearts of their employees.

Stacey Westberry knows that it only takes a spark to ignite a lifelong passion for learning.

Connecting Today's Innovators with South Carolina's Students

Join us as we celebrate the vision of South Carolina’s future. The Silver Crescent Awards showcase the most innovative among South Carolina’s corporate citizenry—those companies that will provide the foundation for the state’s future technological and economic leaders. The cutting edge philosophy of Silver Crescent Award winners engages students and inspires them to seek the educational framework that will be needed to compete personally and as a community, state and nation in the years to come.

State Education Leaders to Speak at Luncheon

State Education Superintendent Inez Tenenbaum and President of the South Carolina Technical College System Barry Russell will serve as speakers at the Salute to Manufacturing Awards Luncheon, May 17.

  Corporate Patrons Envision the Future

Corporate Patrons play a vital role in the Salute to Manufacturing while gaining valuable exposure to the Palmetto State's industry leaders. Becoming a corporate patron provides recognition at the 2006 luncheon, in the printed invitation and program and on the Salute to Manufacturing web site, and includes two tickets to the luncheon. Attendees include business, academic and government leaders. Don't miss this exciting opportunity.
