  2008 Design Challenge Finalists  

 

The Silver Crescent Foundation and the South Carolina Department of Education Office of Career and Technology Education, in partnership with the South Carolina Regional Career Specialists, are pleased to announce the finalists in the seventh annual South Carolina Design Challenge.

Last week in Aiken, state level judges selected the finalists in their respective categories from the twelve regions that participated in the competition. First, second and third placement in each category will be revealed when South Carolina Department of Education Superintendent Jim Rex presents the scholarships on May 5 at the Salute to Manufacturing awards luncheon at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center.

  Salute to Small Business is April 1  

 

The South Carolina Chamber of Commerce, the South Carolina Coalition for Small Business & Entrepreneurship and the U.S. Small Business Administration present the fifth annual Salute to Small Business Tuesday, April 1, at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center. Workshops on government contracting, financing and workforce development, along with exhibits showcasing small businesses and business resources, will be followed by the annual South Carolina Small Business Awards.
