  2006 Salute to Manufacturing Award Nominees Announced  

 

Nominees for the 2006 Silver Crescent Award for Manufacturing Excellence have been announced. The 28 nominees represent the dedication and excellence of South Carolina's manufacturers.

 

  Nominations Now Being Accepted for South Carolina's Fastest Growing Companies  

 

With spikes in revenue and employees, South Carolina's fastest growing companies are leading the charge in South Carolina's econony. The deadline for nominations for Elliott Davis' 2006 Fastest Growing Companies is May 22.   Innovation is Key at the AM Expo: May 15-17  

 

Guests of the Salute to Manufacturing Luncheon have the opportunity to witness cutting edge creativity and performance at the 2006 AM Expo, May 15 - 17, at the Palmetto Expo Center in Greenville. On May 17, luncheon guests have full access to the expo's exhibits.

 

The full conference, which requires separate registration, features keynote speaker Charles Jenckes, Engine Development Engineer for Dale Earnhardt, Inc. Jenckes will provide a virtual tour of his engine shop as he discusses “Quality and Innovation in NASCAR Nextel Cup Engine Development.”

 

“We also have five different tracks this year, with 33 sessions,” Joshua Crum, AM Expo’s marketing manager, said. “We also have a keynote panel on Wednesday which is going to discuss what’s next in advanced manufacturing.”
